It’s early 2021, but I’ll go on a limb: I bet we’re going to see an uptick in the number of Black partners at major firms this year.

No Big Law firm wants to be labeled a diversity dinosaur these days, certainly not while Black Lives Matter is still burning hot. Besides, the Black partner numbers have been so unbelievably abysmal that they can only go up. According to the National Association for Law Placement, Black lawyers account for only 2% of all partners in big firms.
