In its extraordinary opinion handing down an interim suspension of Rudy Giuliani’s law license, a New York state appellate court laid out and discussed, over some 15 pages, a litany of false statements that Giuliani made about the 2020 presidential election having been stolen from America’s voters.
In just one example detailed in the opinion, the court’s five-justice panel, presiding over the lawyer-discipline matter centered on Giuliani’s actions as now ex-President Donald Trump’s attorney, wrote, “[Giuliani] repeatedly stated that in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania more absentee ballots came in during the election than were sent out before the election.”
