SAN FRANCISCO — McGuireWoods has opened a San Francisco office with the hire of a financial-litigation partner from Reed Smith.
David Powell, who will serve as inaugural managing partner in San Francisco, previously served as the head of the financial-institutions litigation group at Reed Smith and earlier chaired Buchalter Nemer’s San Francisco litigation group. He has represented financial institutions including Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Countrywide KB Home Loans and American California Bank.
