SAN FRANCISCO — Morrison & Foerster has recouped partner William Choe for its corporate practice in Palo Alto.
Choe, who originally joined MoFo in 2010, left the firm for an in-house stint with Sterling, Va.-based telecommunications company Neustar Inc. He served as vice president of legal, overseeing mergers and acquisitions, securities and governance matters for the company.
Choe’s corporate practice focuses on M&A in the technology sector. While at MoFo previously, he represented Intel Corp. in multiple acquisitions, VMware in acquiring Desktone Inc. and Dimension Data in acquiring OpSource Inc., among other clients.
“Over the years, he has strengthened the firm’s domestic and international technology practice, especially as lead for M&A transactions in both buy-side and sell-side engagements for public and private companies, and as outside general counsel for issuers and investors alike,” A.C. Johnston, MoFo’s Palo Alto managing partner, said in a statement.
Before he joined MoFo in 2010, Choe spent about six years as a partner in the Palo Alto office of Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal.
