M. Melvin Shralow was presented an award by the senior lawyers professional and public service committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association.

The award was given Dec. 18 by the current chair of the committee, Barbara Vetri.

Shralow is the president and principal of ShralowADR LLC.

He is a mediator and arbitrator of commercial and construction disputes.

The Philadelphia chapter of the Legal Marketing Association announced its 2014 chapter leadership lineup:

Additions

Yoninah R. Orenstein joined Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg as an associate in the litigation department’s family law practice group.

Orenstein counsels clients in all matters pertaining to family law, with a particular emphasis on divorce, child custody and visitation, equitable distribution, and protection from abuse orders.

Prior to joining the firm, Orenstein served as the judicial law clerk to Judge Elizabeth Jackson in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas’ family division.

Bryant L. Horsley Jr. joined Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel as an associate in the firm’s labor relations and employment law department.

Horsley resides in the firm’s Philadelphia office.

He focuses his practice on labor and management relations, employment law and discrimination litigation.

He represents clients in a variety of labor and employment matters, and has served as trial attorney for government entities in labor, employment and civil rights cases.

Events

The public interest litigation committee for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania is set to present a short program on the court’s Prisoner Civil Rights Panel at 8:30 a.m. Friday in Room 3044 of the federal courthouse.

Participation on the panel provides opportunities for young lawyers to gain valuable federal courtroom experience while assisting the court with management of pro se cases.
