Earlier this year, my wonderful wife threw me a surprise 50th birthday party. During the affair, interspersed between the usual jokes about the need for progressive eyeglasses and unpleasant medical procedures, I received advice from well-wishers about how "Life Begins at 50!" I'm not sure I fully subscribe to that axiom quite yet, but it did lead me to think about how it applies to those of us in the legal technology theater.

Our profession, and more broadly, technology in general, is a constantly evolving discipline. Some think of it is a "young person's game." After all, today's new hot thing is often tomorrow's thrift shop material.
