Elected

. . . Elizabeth Copeland, a partner in Strasburger & Price in San Antonio, has been elected chairwoman of the State Bar of Texas Section of Taxation.

. . . Eduardo Roberto Rodriguez, a partner in Atlas, Hall & Rodriguez in Brownsville, has been elected to the American Bar Association board of governors for a three-year term. He represents District 8, which covers Texas and Florida, and is taking office this month.

. . . Edgar Saldivar, senior associate with BoyarMiller in Houston, has been elected by the Houston Young Lawyers Foundation board of trustees to a two-year term as a trustee for the foundation.

Recipients of the Deborah G. Anniversaries

. . . Houston-based Ahmad, Zavitsanos, Anaipakos, Alavi & Mensing celebrated its 20th anniversary in July. John Zavitsanos and Joe Ahmad were the firm’s only two attorneys when they founded it in July 1993. The firm has grown to include almost 30 attorneys.
