The U.S. Supreme Court’s decision Monday to pass up a case testing the right to bear arms outside the home was yet another sign the justices are done interpreting the Second Amendment for awhile.

Without comment, the court denied review in Drake v. Jerejian, a New Jersey case touted by some as the next big gun rights case to go before the high court. The case challenged New Jersey’s regulations governing permits for carrying concealed handguns in public. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit upheld a state requirement that applicants show a “justifiable need” to carry firearms.
