Revised Bar Exam Results Announced, New Names Added On Dec. 3, 2001, the New York State Board of Law Examiners announced revised results of the July 24-25, 2001 bar examination. On November 21, 2001, the Board announced that 6,475 of the 9,194 applicants who took the examination passed. The Board has now discovered that there was a computer programming error in the computation of the final scores of certain applicants. The Board has revised the scoring of the examination, and announces that 6,664 applicants passed the July bar examination. The revised pass rate figure boosts the overall pass rate of 70.4 percent to 72.5 percent -- the highest pass rate since 1997. The candidates who passed and are certified for admission are listed below under the Appellate Division in which they have applied for admission. The remaining candidates who passed the exam but are not certified for admission, because the Board of Law Examiners has not yet received proof they passed the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination, are listed separately.
