A reference for the March 5 judicial, district attorney and public defender races

San Francisco Judge's Seat No. 3


San Francisco's judicial candidates Nancy Davis and Robert Sheridan get an opportunity to speak out in interviews conducted by The Recorder. Both candidates are running for seat No. 3, which is being vacated by Judge Joseph Desmond.

Santa Clara Superior Court Seat No. 9

The Recorder and the Santa Clara County Bar Association co-sponsored a forum for the four candidates for Santa Clara Superior Court seat No. 9. They are San Jose solo practitioners Ronald Berki and William Priest, Santa Clara solo Arthur Bocanegra and Deputy District Attorney George Chadwick. Following are excerpts from the forum, which was moderated by Recorder Editor in Chief Scott Graham.

Santa Clara Superior Court Seat No. 16

Colleagues have become adversaries in the race for retiring Judge Leon Fox's seat on the Santa Clara Superior Court bench. Two deputy district attorneys -- Aaron Persky and Ron Del Pozzo -- are running along with Deputy Public Defender Thomas Spielbauer and civil attorney Michael Millen to fill the spot on the court.

Contra Costa County Superior Court
