Federal Bar Elects Officers, Holds Awards Dinner

The Association of the Federal Bar of New Jersey held its 37th Annual William J. Brennan Jr. Award Dinner on June 13 at Mayfair Farms in West Orange. The association also elected officers for the 2013-14 term. They are President Gerald Krovatin, Krovatin Klingeman, Newark; President-Elect Paul Zoubek, Montgomery McCracken Walker & Rhoads, Cherry Hill; First Vice President Karol Corbin Walker LeClairRyan, Newark; Second Vice President Mark Olinsky, Sills Cummis & Gross, Newark; Secretary Sabrina Comizzoli, Assistant U.S. attorney, Newark; and Treasurer William Reilly, McCarter & English Newark.

Porzio Supports MCCA Diversity Honors Gala

The Minority Corporate Counsel Association held its annual Diversity Honors Gala on Sept.17 at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City. Morristown’s Porzio Bromberg & Newman co-sponsored a pre-gala reception hosted by DuPont’s Minority Counsel Network.

Ryan of Laddey, Clark Leads Team Up Mt. Ranier

This past June, Thomas Ryan, the managing partner of Laddey, Clark & Ryan in Sparta, led a team up Mt. Rainier in Washington state. The team received a day of training in rope work, crevasse rescue and other skills. During the second day, team members climbed six hours to Camp Muir at 10,000 feet. The next morning, they climbed seven hours to the Mt. Ranier summit and across the dormant volcano’s crater, and then four hours back to Camp Muir.
