Two generic drug companies Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. agreed Wednesday to pay a combined $2.15 billion to settle patent litigation with Pfizer Inc. over the drug Protonix.
The deal halts a damages trial that began on June 4 in U.S. District Court in Newark.
