Specialty chemical company Cytec Industries of Woodland Park announced Oct. 9 that it has sold its coating resins unit in Brussels for about $1.15 billion to Advent International, a private equity firm in Boston. Cytec is being advised by a team led by Stephen Kotran and Melissa Sawyer of Sullivan & Cromwell in New York City, Advent by a team from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, led by Doug Bacon and Matthew Herman in New York, and Stephanie Hundertmark in Berlin.
Harrison Bancorp Acquired
The Bank of Henderson of Henderson, Ky., announced on Oct. 9 its acquisition of Harrison Bancorp of Harrison. Both are commercial banks.
