Richard Nugent, a longtime tax partner at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft, has left to join Jones Day in New York as a partner.
Nugent, who joined Cadwalader’s partnership in 2009, advises on tax implications of public and private mergers, acquisitions, and spin-offs. A member of the executive committee of the New York State Bar Association tax section, he has also advised debtors, creditors and potential acquirers of financially troubled companies in and outside bankruptcy.
