• An article on Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen M. Rice’s bid for Congress (“Congressional Run Starts Talk of Successor for Nassau D.A.,” NYLJ, Jan. 31), incorrectly reported the term of the next district attorney should Rice win the congressional seat. A new D.A. elected in November 2015 would serve a full four-year term.

• An article in the Tuesday, Feb. 4 edition of the Law Journal, “Federal Judges Dispute Timing of Sexual Abuse Claims,” incorrectly stated that Eastern District Judge Frederic Block ruled that the defendants were equitably estopped from invoking the statute of limitations. In fact, Block only held that it was possible for the plaintiffs to show estoppel. Nonetheless, Block said the plaintiffs’ estoppel claim “faces several hurdles,” and ordered an evidentiary hearing on the issue, but the case settled before such a hearing could be held.
