• David Concannon has joined Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe as a partner in its emerging companies group, representing startups, entrepreneurs and investors in technology companies. He was a partner at Andrews Kurth.

• Laurence Rickles has joined the White Plains office of Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott as a member of the intellectual property practice. He concentrates on trademark, copyright, domain name and social media matters. He was an in-house trademark attorney for Johnson & Johnson, with primary responsibility for its worldwide portfolio of pharmaceutical trademarks.

• DLA Piper has appointed Heidi Levine to a new position as co-managing partner of the New York office, joining current office managing partner Peter Pantaleo. Levine is a litigation partner and cochairs the New York mass torts practice, focusing on drug and medical device product liability litigation.

• Caplin & Drysdale has hired Elan Keller as a member in its corporate, business and transactional tax and international tax and tax controversies practice groups. He was a managing director and tax director of Macquarie Holdings (USA) Inc.

• Allen & Overy has added Kent Rowey and Dolly Mirchandani as partners in its global energy and infrastructure practice. They were partners at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where Rowey was head of the energy and infrastructure for the Americas practice.

• Sutherland Asbill & Brennan has added Ronald Zdrojeski as a litigation partner. He previously practiced at Robinson & Cole.

• Michael Barz has joined SNR Denton as a corporate and business transactions partner. He joins from DLA Piper.

• Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp has hired Karyn Jefferson as of counsel in the labor and employment practice. She was a solo practitioner in Scotch Plains, N.J.
