White & Case has partnered with Community Pediatrics at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia University Medical Center and Volunteers of Legal Service to create SocialNeedsRx.org, a referral database to legal, social and medical services in New York City. The database contains more than 230 listings of city, state and federal government programs, as well as city-wide and community-based organizations providing these services. Complied over five years, the database has been published by White & Case in booklet form since 2007. The website, designed by Pro Bono Net, also provides advice on how to be an effective advocate and sample letters families can use to request services.
“We hope it will help health-care professionals and advocates guide their patients and clients to appropriate resources,” Neal Grenley, executive partner for White & Case’s New York office, said in a statement.
