Here’s the roundup of Washington-area hires and promotions announced in the third week of March:

  • Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz:

John McJunkin and John David Folds join the firm as shareholders and will focus on bankruptcies. McJunkin earned his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, and Folds earned his J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law. Dan Carrigan joins the firm’s bankruptcy practice as of counsel; he earned his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center. Previously, the three lawyers worked at McKenna Long & Aldridge.

  • Cahill Gordon & Reindel:

Sean Tonolli joins the firm as a senior attorney. Previously, he was an assistant U.S. attorney in the Eastern District of Virginia. He earned his J.D. from Stanford Law School.

  • Crowell & Moring:

Katherine Funk joins the firm’s antitrust and health care groups as a partner. Previously, she was co-chair of Baker & McKenzie’s North America antitrust and competition group within the litigation department. She earned her J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law.

  • Holland & Knight:

James Meggesto joins the firm as partner and deputy leader of the Indian law practice group. Previously, he worked at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld. He earned his J.D. from Albany Law School of Union University.

  • Mayer Brown:

Matthew Rossi joins the firm as partner in its securities litigation and enforcement group. Previously, he was assistant chief litigation counsel in the enforcement division of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. He earned his J.D. from Cornell Law School.

  • McDermott Will & Emery:

Michael O’Shaughnessy joins the firm as a partner in intellectual property litigation. Previously, he worked at Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner. He earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.

  • Miles & Stockbridge:

Raymond Monroe joins the firm as a principal in its government contracts practice. Previously, he was a partner at Crowell & Moring. He earned his J.D. from Duke Law School.

  • Proskauer Rose:

Christopher Ondeck joins the firm as partner and vice-chair of its antitrust group. Previously, he co-chaired the trade association group at Crowell & Moring. He earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.

  • Zuckerman Spaeder:

Jon Fetterolf joins the firm as a partner, working in white collar defense, civil litigation and sports law. Previously, he was a partner at Williams & Connolly. He earned his J.D. from University of Michigan Law School.
