K&L Gates: Tae Rhee joins the firm’s corporate practice as partner in the Portland, Ore., office and will focus on corporate finance and transactions. Previously, Rhee was executive vice president and general counsel at 20/20 Communications Inc.

Pastore Shofi & Dailey (Stamford, Conn.): Susan Bysiewicz joins the firm as counsel and leader of the firm’s Glastonbury, Conn., office. She will focus on corporate law and finance, banking, securities and contract negotiation. Previously, Bysiewicz served as Connecticut secretary of state.

Davis Wright Tremaine (Seattle): Don Buder joins the firm’s food and beverage and restaurant practices as partner in the San Francisco office and will focus on mergers and acquisitions, venture financings and commercial transactions. Previously, Buder was co-founder and managing partner at MBV Law.

Goodwin Procter (Boston): Brynn Peltz joins the firm’s financial institutions group as partner in the New York office and will focus on fund formation, registration and offerings, compliance and transactions. Previously, Peltz was a partner at Latham & Watkins.

Hand Baldachin & Amburgey (New York): Stuart Nayman joins the firm as partner and will focus on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private-equity transactions. Previously, Nayman was a partner at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr.

Herrick, Feinstein (New York): Gary Schoenbrun joins the firm as partner in the New York office and co-chairman of the tax and personal-planning group. He will focus on taxation and executive compensation. Previously, Schoenbrun was a partner at Dickstein Shapiro.

Jones Day: Steve Smith joins the firm’s global disputes practice as partner in the San Francisco office and will focus on arbitration and litigation of international commercial disputes. Previously, Smith was a partner at O’Melveny & Myers.

Kleinberg, Kaplan, Wolff & Cohen (New York): Claudio De Vellis joins the firm’s estate planning and administration practice as partner and will focus on tax and wealth preservation matters. Prev­iously, De Vellis was a partner at Smith, Gambrell & Russell.

Marten Law (Seattle): Richard Allan joins the firm’s energy and environmental law practice as partner in the Portland, Ore., office and will focus on environmental, land use and natural resources issues. Previously, Allan was a partner at Ball Janik.

Vedder Price (Chicago): Nicholas Anaclerio joins the firm’s labor practice as partner in the Chicago office and will focus on wage-and-hour and discrimination suits. Previously, he was a partner at Ungaretti & Harris. Additionally, Sam Tyfield joins the investment services practice as partner in the London office and will focus on private equity and venture-capital transactions. Previously, he was a partner at Katten Muchin Rosenman.
