Cooley (Palo Alto, Calif.): Walter Hanchuk and John Kheit join the firm as partners in the New York office. Hanchuk will serve as chairman of the firm’s New York intellectual property practice. Both attorneys will focus on financial services and software technologies. Previously, Hanchuk and Kheit were partners at Chadbourne & Parke.

Dorf & Nelson (Rye, N.Y.): Martha Flanders joins the firm’s corporate law practice area as partner and will focus on mergers and acquisitions; public and private securities offerings; joint ventures and strategic alliances; and investment vehicles. Previously, Flan­ders was a partner at Cozen O’Connor.

Jones Day: Chris Swift joins the firm’s mergers and acquisitions practice as partner in the Hong Kong office and will focus on private equity, corporate restructurings and general corporate finance. Previously, Swift was a partner at Allen & Overy. Additionally, Doreen Davis joins the firm’s labor and employment practice as partner in the New York office and will focus on representing employers in trials and other proceedings. Previously, Davis was a partner at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius.

Loeb & Loeb: Livia Kiser joins the firm’s consumer protection defense department as partner in the Chicago office and will focus on defending clients in the automotive, financial, retail, food and other industries against allegations of consumer fraud, false labeling, false advertising and breach of warranty. Previously, Kiser was a partner at Barack Ferrazzano Kirschbaum & Nagelberg.

Seyfarth Shaw (Chicago): Miles Bor­den joins the firm’s real estate department as partner in the New York office and will focus on commercial real estate transactions. Previously, Borden was a partner at Troutman Sanders.

Squire, Sanders & Dempsey: Steven Auvil joins the firm’s Cleveland office as head of the intellectual property and technology group’s U.S. litigation practice. He will focus on patent, trade secret, copyright and trademark/trade dress cases. Previously, Auvil was a partner at Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan & Aronoff.


Winstead (Dallas): Brent Clifton joins the firm’s taxation, employee benefits and private business practice group as partner in the Dallas office and will foc­us on real estate-related transactions representing institutional investors, sponsors and developers. Previously, he was a partner at Locke Lord.


Cozen O’Connor (Philadelphia): Jerry Pappert joins the firm’s commercial litigation group as partner in the Philadelphia office and will focus on government investigations, white-collar criminal matters and general commercial litigation. Previously, he was executive vice president, general counsel and secretary of Cephalon Inc.

Katten Muchin Rosenman: Lisa Dunsky joins the firm’s financial services practice as partner in the Chicago office and will focus on commodities law. Previously, Dunsky was executive director and associate general counsel at CME Group Inc.

McGuireWoods: Molly White joins the firm’s government, regulatory and criminal investigations practice group as partner in the Los Angeles office and will focus on government and regulatory investigations and commercial litigation. Previously, White was senior trial counsel at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Schulte Roth & Zabel (New York): Brian Daly joins the firm’s investment management and regulatory and compliance groups as partner in the New York office. He will focus on regulatory, compliance and operational matters. Previously, Daly was a founding partner of Kepos Capital L.P.
