SAN FRANCISCO — Sidley Austin is opening an office in Palo Alto with 12 attorneys, including longtime Wilson Sonsini partner Thomas DeFilipps, three corporate attorneys from Howard, Rice, Nemerovski, Canady, Falk & Rabkin, and eight attorneys who will transfer from Sidley’s San Francisco office.
Sidley, the fifth-highest grossing U.S. law firm, has had a Los Angeles office for 30 years and a San Francisco office since it merged with Brown & Wood in 2001.
