The New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) and legal network service provider Legal.io recently announced a partnership aimed at modernizing the bar associations’ extensive referral services. The partnership, which follows on the heels of a similar one Legal.io announced with LGBT Bar Association of Greater New York (LeGaL) in November 2016 , commenced with the launch of a new online platform for the NYSBA lawyer referral services.
Elena Jaffe Tastensen, a Saratoga Springs, New York, attorney and chair of the NYSBA’s Lawyer Referral and Information Service, said the partnership will aim to make the association’s referral services “more user-friendly and more accessible to more people at different hours of the days.”
