The use of legal analytics for court filings and litigation decisions just got another push forward, as LexisNexis announced the integration of its Lex Machina Legal Analytics platform into its online legal information solution Lexis Advance.

LexisNexis vice president Jeff Pfeifer noted that for the time being, the integration will be limited to analytics regarding judges’ decisions in patent, trademark, copyright, antitrust and securities cases, and not the full, subscription-based Lex Machina platform. With such information, a user could see sort of inclinations judges had in their decisions, then further break down such information by factors like geography.
