Legal technology can be critical for companies looking to mitigate data risk, though many organizations will only trust providers with high certifications and strong compliance records, according to AlixPartners’ annual Litigation and Compliance Practices survey of 300 corporate counsel and legal and compliance officers from companies across 20 industries in North America and Europe.

Almost all respondents (96 percent) reported that their use of new technologies to mitigate internal risks remained at least the same over the past year. Slightly over one third (38 percent), however, saw an increase in legal-department implementation in 2016.
