A quick question: What’s your work email password? Now, a slightly scarier question: Do you use that password anywhere else, say, on a website such as Amazon? Passwords are no longer seen as sufficient to providing enterprise security, and one survey has found that many companies’ C-Suite executives and directors of IT are going above and beyond.

The Global State of Information Security Survey 2017, conducted by PwC, found that more than half (57 percent) of respondents are using some form of biometrics for authentication of users. These biometrics, PwC said, can include fingerprints, retina scans, or even facial recognition, among other types of technology.
