Article Submission Guidelines for Texas Lawyer as of October 2010
I. Tips on submitting articles for possible publication:
Ensure the article:
Has a Texas angle
Is timely
Is directly law-related
Is "different," i.e., would another law firm be interested in reading it?
Is original and not published elsewhere
If the article is unassigned, it is best to send a synopsis or bullet-point summary versus a fully written article
Refer to our online Editorial Calendar, which is updated regularly, for publishing dates of special focus areas.
Submit article information by e-mail to texlawinfo@alm.com approximately 12 weeks prior to issue date of special focus.
The best days to submit information are Monday-Wednesday
Should your article be selected for use, editors will need direct access to the lawyer who wrote the article, not just the firm's marketing director.
The editorial direction of Texas Lawyer and the articles we choose to include are in no way associated with advertising in the publication.
