Discipline Report: Lawyer Disbarred After Porn Conviction

The State Bar of Texas has announced that a lawyer has been disbarred after his conviction in a Harris County district court for possession of child pornography. The judgment of disbarment is dated about 43 months after the man's conviction. His conviction also carried a 10-year prison sentence, a fine of $10,000 and costs of $563.

The State Bar of Texas has announced that a Bexar County lawyer has been suspended for four months, followed by a four-year term of probation. The Bar also announced that another lawyer has been placed on probation, and two others have received public reprimands. Fees, expenses and reimbursements in the four cases range from $500 to more than $7,000.
