Texas lawyers at Baker & McKenzie represented Rimrock Midstream of Dallas in its recent acquisition of the El Dorado Storage Terminal from a subsidiary of Houston’s Enbridge Energy Partners. With the closing of the acquisition on Nov. 6, Rimrock also announced a strategic financing relationship with Energy Capital Partners of up to $160 million.
Joel W. Kanvik, director U.S. law-liquids and assistant secretary at Enbridge, handled the transaction for his company, while a team from Latham & Watkins represented Energy Capital Partners, a private equity firm, in the financing. Lewis, Rice & Fingersh of Kansas City, Mo., was local counsel for Rimrock.
