Jury awards $11,314 to plaintiff claiming neck injury

On March 7, a jury awarded $11,314 to a driver who claimed a neck injury in a three-car crash. In 2009, Peter Thornfield was involved in a collision with Lucid Perez, who had just been involved in a collision with a car driven by Kjamurance Vrbani. He claimed that Vrbani failed to control her speed or keep a proper lookout and collided with Perez. He claimed that Perez had been following too closely and as a result was pushed into the rear of his truck. Thornfield claimed cervical strains. The jury found that Vrbani was 95 percent liable and Perez 5 percent liable.
