A group of former clients has filed a breach of fiduciary duty and professional negligence/legal malpractice suit against Andrews Kurth and two Dallas partners, alleging the defendants mishandled litigation that ended with a multimillion-dollar judgment against the plaintiffs in 2004.

“I’ve got a lot of respect for Andrews Kurth, and this is an unfortunate situation, but we thoroughly vetted this case and investigated it carefully. Filing a lawsuit against a major law firm is not something we take lightly,” says Brian Lauten, a partner in Sawicki & Lauten in Dallas who represents the plaintiffs in Rogers, et al. v. Zanetti, et al. along with co-counsel Charla Aldous of Dallas’ Aldous Law Firm.
