Plaintiff gets award for head-on collision

On Oct. 7, a jury awarded a driver $150,732 for a fractured tailbone and herniated cervical disks he sustained in a crash. In 2008, Paul Littlejohn was struck by an oncoming AT&T van that had veered into his lane. Littlejohn underwent three rounds of physical therapy in about 18 months. He also underwent a cervical diskectomy with fusion. He claimed that he eventually had to quit his job as a traveling salesman because of intense pain from sitting in his car for long periods of time. His neurosurgeon testified that the damage caused by his injuries is permanent.
