Plaintiff awarded $6,800 for back and neck injuries

On Oct. 25, a jury awarded $6,800 to a man who claimed multiple cervical and lumbar herniations in an intersection collision. Samuel Zamora claimed lumbar, cervical and thoracic herniations. Zamora has been disabled from lower back problems since 1992 but denied any pre-accident neck injuries. He sought a total of $52,280. The defense argued that all of the injuries were pre-existing.
