A lawyer has been suspended for three years, another has resigned in lieu of discipline, and a third has been placed on probation for three years, the State Bar of Texas reported recently. In the case of the lawyer suspended for three years, the State Bar cited alleged violations of disciplinary rules against neglecting a legal matter, against failing to carry out obligations owed to a client, and the requirement to keep a client reasonably informed about the client's interests. She was ordered to pay $6,811 in restitution and in fees to the State Bar.
