A lawyer has resigned in lieu of discipline, a Wharton County lawyer has been placed on probation, and a Tarrant County lawyer has received a public reprimand, the State Bar of Texas reported recently. The Wharton County lawyer was placed on probation for one year for violations of rules that include the requirement for a lawyer to keep the client's funds separate from her own funds. She was ordered to pay $4,200 in restitution and $1,275 in attorneys' fees to the State Bar. The Tarrant County lawyer was ordered to pay $1,025 in fees and expenses in his case.
