A Dallas County lawyer has been placed on probation for two years, and a Fort Bend County lawyer has received a public reprimand, the State Bar of Texas reported recently. The agreed judgment in the case of the Dallas County lawyer cited the disciplinary rule prohibiting a lawyer from charging an illegal fee or unconscionable fee. The judgment called for the lawyer to pay $75,000 in restitution and $4,000 in attorney's fees and expenses to the State Bar.
