One lawyer was suspended for six months, another received a public reprimand, and another was placed on probation, the State Bar of Texas reported recently. The suspended lawyer also was placed on probation for 54 months and was ordered to pay $6,000 in attorney's fees and costs to the State Bar. The case, in 5th District Court of Cass County, referred to alleged violation of the rule against communication with someone represented by counsel. The other two sanctioned lawyers are from Harris County.
