The above doesn’t read like an effective job posting. Yet it’s no worse than much of what appears on job Web sites used to recruit legal secretaries. Advertisements focusing on the personal traits of an ideal legal secretary are the norm. Ads that thoroughly describe the job’s duties, level of responsibility, office environment and compensation are rare.
