It’s crunch time for the nearly 3,000 would-be Texas lawyers who will take the Texas bar exam July 28-30. With butterflies in their stomachs and sweaty palms, the nervous test-takers probably can use some advice from Texas attorneys who went through the same rite of passage.

Texas Lawyer reporters talked to a dozen attorneys to ask them for their best test-taking tips. The lawyers gave some advice and related a few horror stories, such as oversleeping, dealing with traffic on the way to the testing site and getting sick during the test — nightmarish tales that are examples of what not to do during the exam. Video of eight of the interviews is available online at www.texaslawyer.com.
