Robert C. Morris appeals the dismissal of his claim pursuant to 42 U.S.C. §1983 in federal district court, asserting that he was entitled to monetary damages as a result of an alleged illegal search. Although the trial court had dismissed the criminal proceedings and discharged Morris from further penalties and disabilities, the trial court order did not satisfy Heck because it did not reverse or invalidate the original conviction. The district court's order is affirmed. Morris v. McAllester, 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, No. 12-10333, 12-05-2012.
