Sozanski v. Plesh

Tex. App. Dist. 1

November 5, 2012

The appellant challenges the trial court's denial of his motion for new trial following a default judgment grant of divorce and division of the marital estate. Without some proof of successful service, the trial court lacked personal jurisdiction over the appellant, and any judgment rendered against him was void. The trial court's judgment is reversed and remanded. Houston's 1st Court of Appeals, No. 01-11-01071-CV, 11-01-2012.
