The plaintiff in this age-discrimination case was replaced by an older worker. The court of appeals held that an age-discrimination plaintiff can meet her prima facie burden by alleging she was replaced by someone younger or by otherwise showing that she was discharged because of age. A plaintiff who is replaced by an older worker does not receive the inference of discrimination afforded by the prima facie case. The court of appeals' judgment is reversed and rendered.
