Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft has hired former Mayer Brown JSM partner Jeffrey Chen as a partner for its Asia capital markets team.
A structured finance and derivatives expert, Chen is New York-based Cadwalader’s third partner in Asia and the first who will be based primarily in Hong Kong, where the firm opened an office last December. The firm also has a nine-lawyer office in Beijing, and Asia managing partner Rocky Lee, who joined Cadwalader last year from DLA Piper, divides his time between the two cities.
