As it turned out, Marvell’s reprieve was only temporary. A state appellate court revived Jasmine’s $26 million suit last January, paving the way for a trade secrets and breach of contract trial that began this fall.

But a funny thing happened on the way to Jasmine’s slam dunk: On Wednesday, after two weeks of deliberation, the 12-person Santa Clara state court jury came back with a complete defense verdict, exonerating Marvell on all four counts in Jasmine’s case. (Here’s The Recorder’s story on the verdict.)
