Marks, O'Neill, O'Brien & Courtney, P.C. to Receive the Freedom Award

The National Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Committee has selected the local litigation law firm of Marks, O’Neill, O’Brien & Courtney, P.C. for the 2009 Secretary of Defense Employer Support “Freedom Award”.

They were selected from more than 3,200 nominations as one of the 15 recipients for this highest, national level award. It will be presented to the firm at a ceremony in Washington, D.C. on September 17, 2009.

In February, Dawn Courtney Doherty and the Delaware Office of Marks, O’Neill, O’Brien & Courtney received the Patriot Award for their support of National Guard and Reserve members. This was followed by receipt of the highest state-level award given to a civilian employer by the US Department of Defense, the “Pro Patria Award”, in May.

Several Marks, O’Neill, O’Brien & Courtney firm members also received individual Patriot Employer Awards for their direct work with and support of National Guard and Reserve members. The award recipients include Michael Hamilton, Megan Mantzavinos, Brian Kasprzak, Jeff Marlin, and Kathie Simmons.
