Phila. Bar Association 2008 Volunteer Attorney Training Calendar

A guardianship program will be held Feb. 8 at Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, 1735 Market St., 51st floor. The event is sponsored by Philadelphia VIP and Legal Clinic for the Disabled.

A grandparent custody program will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Feb. 26 at Ballard Spahr, 1735 Market St., 51st floor. Two CLE credits are offered. The event is sponsored by Senior Law Center. To register, call 215-988-1244.

A divorce program will be held March 7 at Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel, One Penn Center, 19th floor, 1617 John F. Kennedy Blvd. The event is sponsored by Philadelphia VIP, Legal Clinic for the Disabled and Women Against Abuse.

A civil forfeiture program will be held April 4 at Pepper Hamilton, 3000 Two Logan Square, 18th and Arch streets. The event is sponsored by Philadelphia VIP and Philadelphia Legal Assistance.

A tax program will be held May 2 at Morgan Lewis & Bockius, 1701 Market St. The event is sponsored by Philadelphia VIP and CEIBA.

"How to Handle a Child Abuse Case" will be held May 7 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Philadelphia Bar Institute CLE Conference Center, Wanamaker Building, 10th floor, suite 1010. The event is sponsored by Support Center for Child Advocates. Five substantive and one ethics CLE credits are offered. Call 1-800-242-4724 to register.

A summer pro bono program will be held May 30 at the Philadelphia Bar Institute Conference Center, Wanamaker Building, 10th floor, suite 1010. The event is for law students only; no CLE credits are offered.

A custody program will be held at Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis, 1600 Market St., suite 3600 on June 27.

Corporate Pro Bono Day will be held Sept. 16 at the Enterprise Center. The event is sponsored by Philadelphia VIP, DELVACCA and Corporate Pro Bono.

All trainings sponsored by Philadelphia VIP are on Fridays from noon to 2:15 p.m., unless otherwise indicated. For all VIP trainings, two CLE credits will be awarded in exchange for taking a pro bono case. To reserve a space for a Philadelphia VIP-sponsored training program, call 215-523-9550.
