The judge specially appointed to preside in the First Judicial District’s legal malpractice lawsuit against its ex-attorney on the family courthouse project rejected a request for sanctions because of the lawyer’s answers to discovery interrogatories.

Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas Senior Judge R. Stanton Wettick Jr. heard arguments in his Pittsburgh courtroom Tuesday as to whether attorney Jeffrey B. Rotwitt should be sanctioned for what the FJD says are violations of the judge’s discovery order in June striking Rotwitt’s initial answers to some of the FJD’s interrogatories.
