The American Society of Business Publication Editors honored several ALM publications with Awards of Excellence at the annual "Azbees" on July 18. The highly competitive awards recognize outstanding work by business-to-business, trade, association and professional publications in print and online. ALM, which publishes The American Lawyer, The National Law Journal, Corporate Counsel and several other national and regional titles, won three national gold awards and the prestigious Stephen Barr Award, a national "best in class" prize for feature writing. The American Lawyer also received honorable mention as a finalist in the Magazine of the Year category. In addition, ALM publications were awarded three other bronze and silver national awards, and three gold and one silver award for publications based in the Northeastern United States.
