NEW CASTLE, Pa. (AP) - The prosecution has rested in the closed juvenile court trial of a western Pennsylvania boy who was just 11 when he allegedly killed his father's pregnant fiancée, killing her unborn son in the process.
Jordan Brown is now 14, but a Lawrence County judge has closed his trial to the media and all spectators beyond close family members of Brown and the dead woman, 26-year-old Kenzie Houk.
Family members have said they've been told to expect the trial to last for three or four days, with the defense offering as much as two days of testimony.
Brown's family and friends continue to claim he's innocent of charges that he shotgunned Houk as she lay in bed in the farmhouse she and her two young daughters shared with Brown and his father in February 2009.
