A man suing a Bensalem, Pa., casino for a slip-and-fall may not bring his lawsuit in Philadelphia, the state Superior Court has ruled, affirming a Philadelphia judge’s decision to move the lawsuit to Bucks County because the casino doesn’t regularly conduct business in Philadelphia. A unanimous three-judge panel rejected plaintiff William Wimble’s argument that a number of subsidiaries of Parx Casino and Greenwood Gaming are located in Philadelphia, a claim the panel said stemmed from Wimble’s “clear misreading of his own exhibits.”

Though a Greenwood Gaming “sister corporation” operates a number of off-track betting sites in Philadelphia, the panel said, such would not sustain a Philadelphia trial of Greenwood Gaming.
