The first civil lawsuit against embattled former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky and the university itself alleging sex abuse and a conspiracy to cover it up was filed in Philadelphia Common Pleas Court on Wednesday morning.

The suit, filed on behalf of an alleged victim, identified only as John Doe, by St. Paul, Minn.-based attorney Jeffrey R. Anderson, also named as a defendant The Second Mile, the charity Sandusky founded in 1977 and for which he served as primary fundraiser.
